Georges is an accomplished businessman, but in need of love. He falls for the young and beautiful Julie, a talented journalist whose romantic past does not encourage her to fall in love again. Given Georges' insistence and tact, and motivated by her best friend Dorcas, she gives in to his advances. They fall truly in love, and she is delighted to have met a man like him. Things went well and they got married. Life is good, but everything gets complicated when Georges announces that his ailing mother is coming to live with them. Julie becomes hysterical and out of control. She doesn't want her mother-in-law in the house. The situation doesn't get any better when Dorcas takes Julie to a marabout to have it out with the mother-in-law. Dorcas has her own plans, too, and gives bad advice because she is jealous of Julie's dream life, which she used to encourage. By the way, what will become of the loving, close-knit couple that was George and Julie?
